The lecture programme is taking shape.
Our first confirmed speakers bring experience from veterinary medicine, farriery, biomechanics, rehabilitation and performance hoofcare. Subjects, dates and times are still being finalised; each profile will be updated as the programme develops.
United Kingdom
Simon Moore FWCF
FWCF farrier, tutor and clinician from the UK. Simon combines decades of sport-horse farriery with apprentice training, examination work and clinical collaboration.
Italy
Hans Castelijns DVM, CF
Veterinarian and certified farrier specialised in equine podiatry. Hans works across preventive and therapeutic shoeing, lameness and professional education for farriers and veterinarians.
Sweden
Henrik Jansson FWCF
FWCF farrier and long-time senior clinical farrier and researcher in Sweden. His work bridges clinical cases, research and practical farriery.
United States
Jamey Carsel CJF
CJF farrier from Missouri and clinician with Werkman Hoofcare USA. His background includes performance horses, therapeutic work, education and development of the Maverick and Rodeo horseshoe lines.

Ideas that go
back to the workshop.
Knowledge sharing and practical application have always belonged together at the Werkman Spring Games. Our conference brings recognised hoofcare professionals and farriers into the same room to exchange research, experience and different ways of looking at the hoof.
Earlier programmes explored hoof balance, shoe placement, rehabilitation, sport-horse shoeing and glue applications. The value is in connecting these subjects with your own work: listening closely, asking questions and continuing the conversation with colleagues afterwards.
The 2027 programme will be presented with speaker biographies, lecture subjects and a clear timetable. Lecture language, translation arrangements and any accreditation will be confirmed alongside that programme.
